GROUPS, CLUBS & ASSOCIATIONS Agriculture & Horticulture & Environment Cobourg Ecology Garden The Cobourg Ecology Garden celebrates its 27th anniversary this year. Founded in 1996 by Minnie Pennell and run by volunteers, the garden demonstrates chemical-free, organic methods for growing a broad range of plants – from vegetables, to Prairie grasses, to hardy native species. It's a place to learn, share ideas and rekindle a sense of wonder at nature's complexity and beauty. The garden is located at the south end of Hibernia Street between Legion Village and the waterfront. We must consider environmental stewardship, social responsibility and economic resilience. Our 6 Advisory groups were created to focus on various areas of concern. They research and develop policy, organize activities, advocate around issues, and co-ordinate public events.
