ECCLES LADIES Salford University Lionesses join the #PrideOfSalford Firstly welcome to all of our sponsors who have made it down to the club today to see where their hard earned money is spent, I want to exend my deepest gratitude to all of you who have supported us throughout the season and during the pandemic. Without your generosity we would not be able to provide the offer that we do to so many. The Ladies team welcome fellow league strugglers Darlington to Gorton Street this sunday, after the away fixture had to be postponed due to covid this will be our first time playing them unusual for this late in the season. Darlington have had a similar season to ourselves often battling bravely against strong opposition but not coming out on the side of the result they would have liked. Eccles have seen continuous growth throughout the season having blooded upwards of 15 players at this standard we are now starting to see the fruits of our labour. Players such as Rhianna Scott, Evie Hancox and Helena Ryan have made huge leaps in past games providing impetus and impact. These players are adding to a strong core of experienced campaigners and we hope this blend of the old and the new will lead to the perfect recipe for a result on Sunday. Finally congratulations, firstly to those players who trialed for the Senior Lancashire County squad this past week (Rowanne Smalley, Rhianna Scott, Evie Hancox, Helen Johnson, Freya Waterhouse #, Leah Christian #, Helena Walker and Chris Garner-Scott). It is a real privilege as a coach to watch your players go onto the next level and play to the level you know they are capable of. Our second congratulations comes with good luck as Pebbles Whaling-Mills travels to Yorkshire this weekend with the Lancashire U18s. Our final congratulations must go to Bella Molloy of the U13s Girls who represented the club and her school on Saturday at Twickenham during the launch of the touch union, we are sure it won't be long before she is back there wearing white next to her Eccles team mates. We are incredibly proud of you all. It is a great time to be an Eccles Lady, what's stopping you joining the Pride of Salford? James Wright // Eccles RFC Ladies & Girls Head Coach
