We thank Jon DeWaal, who served in this role so faithfully over the last seven years, and are excited about Fred bringing his own giftedness to our academic program. We are truly grateful for your willingness to stand with us as we carry on this important mission. May all of us be refined, and not defined, by these challenging times and experience the grace and peace of Jesus in the days ahead. God’s blessings to you. Sincerely, Eddie Staub Eagle Ranch Founder and Executive Director Reflections We hope that in the midst of these challenging days, you are enjoying these updates on the latest at Eagle Ranch. During this time, we have had our faith enlarged by experiencing firsthand God’s protection, provision and “peace which surpasses all understanding.” While taking all the necessary precautions, we had a wonderful summer, creating memories our boys and girls won’t soon forget. Their lives did not get put on hold during this time, and neither did ours. OUR MISSION Eagle Ranch helps make life better for children and their families, positively impacting communities for the glory of God.

Getting Ready for the School Year Eagle Ranch is excited about the upcoming school year, making sure everything is ready to have a healthy and enriching school environment. This year, all of our boys and girls will attend Eagle Ranch School. Traditionally, Eagle Ranch School serves students in grades 6-9, while elementary and high school students attend local schools during their time at the Ranch. This fall, we will keep these students at Eagle Ranch School, providing support as they work through the online curriculum provided by Chestnut Mountain Creative School of Inquiry and Cherokee Bluff High School. This will give the students consistency in their learning and on-site academic support to help ensure their success.

CHILDHOOD RESTORED This summer, our boys and girls participated in a variety of activities on our beautiful 315-acre campus.

This group development time gives the children an opportunity to become acquainted, while helping them learn about communication skills and working with others. welcomes Eagle Ranch School Dr. Fred Haselden Dr. Haselden joins Eagle Ranch this school year as our new Director of Education, replacing Jon DeWaal, who retired after 7 years of faithful service.

With more than 20 years of education experience, Dr. Haselden has held a variety of teaching and leadership positions within both private and public school settings. This has given him extensive experience and a broad perspective. “My education philosophy is to lead others by building relationships and gaining trust, while cultivating innovation, to help students become productive, contributing members of their school and community for the glory of God,” he noted. Throughout his career, Dr. Haselden has championed struggling students and found ways to beat impossible odds. He has helped make dramatic improvements to standardized test scores and established programs to help students overcome academic challenges. The word ‘impossible’ means an opportunity for God to show up. “The word ‘impossible’ means an opportunity for God to show up,” he said. “My desire is to convey to students the assurance of hope grounded in Jesus Christ and encourage them to see themselves as individuals of worth.” Dr. Haselden lives in Dacula, GA with his wife, Janie, and children, Anna and James. This year, you can make an impact through a hole sponsorship at the DeWitt Weaver Eagle Ranch Golf Classic, set for October 6 at The Legends of Château Élan. Hole sponsorships provide on-site recognition of your support for you or your business on tournament day, while all proceeds go toward supporting Eagle Ranch’s mission of making life better for children and families in crisis.
