UNILEVER TAKES WOOLWORTHS NETSETGO TO REGIONAL AND REMOTE COMMUNTIIES In 2025, the Confident Girls Foundation partnered with Unilever ANZ to take Woolworths NetSetGo programs to regional and remote communities across Australia. Through specially marked OMO and Rexona products, Unilever contributed $100,000, helping children in under-serviced areas experience the joy of netball. These programs do more than teach skills, they create spaces where children can feel confident, build friendships, and discover their potential. From their first pass to their first goal, every girl has the chance to thrive, grow resilience, and feel supported both on and off the court. By removing barriers to participation and bringing netball to communities that might otherwise miss out, this partnership is helping to ensure that every girl, no matter where she lives, can connect, belong, and be part of something bigger. The impact of this partnership is best seen through its reach across regional communities. In Queensland, Netball Queensland delivered four community engagement tours across Cape York, including Cooktown, Bamaga, Thursday Island, Weipa and Aurukun, engaging more than 300 participants aged 5 to 55, many experiencing netball for the first time. Through NetSetGo programs, coaching clinics and social matches, the tours created meaningful sporting opportunities in communities where access to organised sport is limited, while also engaging families, schools and broader community members. In South Australia, Netball South Australia focused on reducing barriers to participation and strengthening local pathways. As outlined in their acquittal, the program aimed to improve access to netball for young people in regional and remote communities, ease financial pressures on families, and support the development of local coaches and delivery centres. This was achieved through the delivery of free clinics, subsidised participation, and equipment support in communities including Ceduna and Kangaroo Island. These initiatives not only increased participation but also strengthened local coaching capability and contributed to long-term community impact. We extend our sincere thanks to Unilever ANZ for their generous support and ongoing commitment to bringing netball to regional and remote communities across Australia. 17 |
