STORY B T rasil Sul is a worldwide activewear pioneer and concept setter. The brand was founded in 1983 and began its activities with the founder herself producing and selling Brazilian bikinis in a one woman show. he bikinis were a huge success and as the market developed and demanded stylish and comfortable gym suits, the company launch its first activewear line design for exercising. Not long after that BrasilSul was a huge reference in the sports fashion segment, with fresh and high quality design.

T he call for a sale spot came out and in 1992 the company opened its first store, in Porto Alegre, southern Brazil. Coincidentally, it was also the year when the brand reached the international market, spreading over the activewear concept. D uring all these years, besides investing in high quality and innovation for its product line, BrasilSul’s goal is to build a strong partnership with national and international clients. Nowadays, there are 2 international flagships stores: one in Aruba and one Paraguai, besides online clients, and sports shops all over the world.

We are pioneers of activewear fashion, and since the beginning of our history, we have always sought the best suppliers and the best raw materials for our products. Like us, partner weavers are very concerned about the environment. Our products have higher quality, durability, comfort and technology - attributes that the Brazilian Textile Industry has to spare. We work with fabrics considered classic, that never tire and never go out of fashion, and with each collection we look for differentials, news, prints. For this reason, we have options of materials made from recycled raw material - for example PET bottle - others use reuse water in their production and we always choose to work with recycled cotton materials of certified origin. “We only use 100% Brazilian, certified and high quality raw materials.” Most of the fabrics we use have UV50 + protection, an important item and of great help for the practice of outdoor sports, and antibacterial treatment - which prevents odors.

SIZING We always chose to work with one size - a novelty for the time, which only pieces with elastane could provide. For years our numbering worked this way, however, almost a decade ago, due to demand, it was necessary to adapt. But what exactly does that mean? After several feasibility studies and an analysis of the greatest needs and demands of consumers, we chose to work with two sizes. We then developed a size larger than the hitherto worked. Currently, we work with P / M numbering, which matches the old single size, and M / G, which is a larger number. That each size serves different people, with different bodies. What also influences a lot is the body structure and the way the person likes his clothes. Tighter and firmer, really tight? More comfortable, firm but not so tight? “We are always looking for democratic fashion - with the common goal of achieving well-being through clothing. “ For this, we set up a table that is a guide. Do you mean that a person who wears 42 cannot wear a P / M? No! The table is just a guide, which indicates the average sizes and our suggested use. As practically 100% of our products contain elastane in the fabric composition, the size range is quite wide.
