We have noted that not all importers/manufacturers of the said products are following the set Standards. Consequently, the Kenya Bureau of Standards wishes to inform all importers, manufacturers and the general public that all imported base oils, lubricants shall follow PvoC route A and shall be accompanied with a CoC and laboratory test report. All consignments with CoC and test reports shall be verified, sampled and released unconditionally. Consignments not inspected at the source shall be handled as per laid down procedure on destination inspection. Importers and users of used oils are advised to seek clearance from National Environment Management Authority (NEMA). Ag.
