ASCOT SUPPLY FLEET CATALOG | 2020 TIRE REPAIR MATERIALS SUPPLY CORPORATION 231 MINICOMBI Nail Hole Repair Procedures for Passenger, Light Truck and Truck Tires Tires must be removed from the wheel to perform permanent and proper repair. 1 Inspect and mark the tire on the outside. Defl ate the tire and remove from the wheel. Place on tire spreader. 5 Apply pre-buff cleaner. 2 Locate and remove the penetrating object. 6 Scrape away contaminants while the Pre-Buff cleaner is still wet. Repeat 2-3 times. 9 Mark around the repair unit. 10 Lightly buff the repair area using a low speed buffer (<5,000 RPM) with a clean buffi ng rasp, 18 to 36 grit. 13 Apply BL-8F Special Blue Cement to the injury channel using a #626 pull-wire or a #190 awl. 17 Stitch thoroughly from the center outwards. Continue several times in different directions. 14 Apply a thin, even coat of BL-8F Special Blue Cement to the buffed area using a clean brush. 18 Apply 76F Innerliner Repair Sealant to the base of the MINICOMBI and any still exposed buffed areas. 3 Mark the injury on the inside. 4 Inspect the injury. If the angle of the injury channel is less than 15 degrees, a one-piece repair system can be used. 7 Drill the injury channel using a low speed buffer (<1200 rpm) from the inside-out two or three times. 11 Clean the buffed area with a 6014 Brass Brush by brushing the area several times in one direction. 15 Relax the tire beads and then Install the MINICOMBI Repair Unit by inserting the guide pin and stem from the inside outwards. 19 Re-mount & infl ate the tire. Cut the stem & buff. Check for leaks and balance the tire. Refer to the REMA TIP TOP Nail Hole Repair Procedures Wall Chart or the REMA TIP TOP Repair CD for complete detailed repairing instructions.
