PAGE PAGE 11 CIMARRON TRAIL CIMARRON TRAIL DETAILING CLINIC The first Cimarron Club detailing clinic was held Saturday April 14 hosted by Auto Distinctions. Four professional auto detailers spoke from 10:00-3:30 and taught us how to and how not to care for our cars. The 35 enthusiastic attendees watched, listened, questioned and learned from our Summer ’18 DE sponsors and pros, Marshall Hill and Trey Duvall of Total Auto Solutions, Eric Toigo of Garage Time Auto Reconditioning, and JP Johnson of Auto Distinctions. The pros shared their experiences from many decades and had great comments for us amateurs. We learned how to wash a car without damaging the paint, the differences between the various paint protection products, why the new ceramic coatings may be our best choice for paint, why and how paint correction benefits the surface, how to care for the interior surfaces, UV protection, and paint and glass protection films. George Paul donated his car for the demonstration and now has a decision as the front left and right rear fenders no longer match the remaining untreated surfaces. Special thank you to the presenters who sponsor our DE events and for sharing their knowledge and experience, Eric, JP, Marshall, and Trey. Thank you to our fellow club member Eddie Hill who is single handedly fighting hunger among club members by providing Domino’s pizza and drinks.
