PAGE 3 CIMARRON TRAIL PRESIDENT'S PERSPECTIVE By J ason To l l i son Willkommen Cimarron Region members, we are glad you are with us. The Porsche Club of America is big, really big. You just won’t believe how vastly huge mindbogglingly big it is. Ok, perhaps is not as big as space but compared to most car clubs it has some heft. There have been occasions that I have been talking with an acquaintance and I mention my involvement with the car club. As I expound the aspects of our club activities and meetings the question of how many members do you have will come up. I casually say, “over 400 with primary and co-members in our region, and 10,000 or so globally”. It is at this point in the conversation I get some interesting looks that express wonder and doubt. To say it is a just a car club is such an understatement. With so many systems needed to make the PCA and our region (Go Cimarron) work and grow it takes a fair amount of work, dedication, and you to make it wonderful. Danke to everyone that takes the time and energy out of your life to help make the largest single brand car club in the world a success. The Mayfast DE at Hallett had an amazing turnout of drivers, with many first time on the track participants. I am excited to see new faces coming out giving the sport driving a try. Gary Bernard put together an excellent team of instructors whom worked hard to get everyone comfortable on the track. I heard many positive comments from attendees the event. If you are looking for more track time, we have another 2-day DE at Hallett coming in August. Do you want more activities? Keep an eye on the events calendar posted on our cimarronregionpca.org website. Social dinners, autocross, driving tours and more. If you have any suggestions for events or improvements, or if you would like to volunteer some time please contact any of our board members. Happy Driving! - Jason Tollison
