PAGE 3 CIMARRON TRAIL PRESIDENT'S PERSPECTIVE By J ason To l l i son Hello Cimarron Region members, Summer is heating up and so are the PCA activities. As you may have heard the 63rd Annual Porsche Parade at the Lake or the Ozarks ended a couple of weeks ago. The event offered many avenues of excitement and celebration of the great offerings the PCA has for our members. Our region had a strong showing of participants this year. I am looking forward to hearing stories from different perspectives of the event. It feels even more special having such significant gathering so close to our region home. The national board has been working revising some of the minimum requirements for the DE and Autocross for safety equipment. These changes are a result of studies of incidents and have a purpose of reducing or eliminating the chance of injury. These rules necessary for the club to maintain a level of insurance coverage to make it possible to host the events you enjoy. All the minimum standards, policy guidelines, and technical details are available on the national website www.PCA.ORG. The wording can be confusing when it covers helmet restraints, racing seats, etc. If you have any questions or need clarification of these standards we have several people in the club to assist. You can contact me or of our driving event chairs and we can help. I want to welcome all our new members to the region. We are happy you chose to join our car club. The PCA has a lot to offer, hopefully you will something you like with the events, cars, and people. This August we have a Driver’s Education at Hallett Motor Racing Circuit, A driving tour to the Price Tower in Bartlesville, as well as several auto cross events. Hope to see you there. Happy Driving! - Jason Tollison
