Peter Genzali and Guy Moley assisted with the changing of the old flag. The new flag was then lowered to half-staff, in remembrance of Pearl Harbor Day. Every year, the nation observes Pearl Harbor Day, or National Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day, to honor the 2,403 service members and civilians who were killed during the Dec. 7, 1941, Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor.
