She was the wife of the late Charles A. Ross. Born and raised in GA, Mrs. Ross was the daughter of the late James D. and Sarah (Palmer) Calhoun. Magdalene taught in Georgia prior to moving to Washington D.C. where she was employed by the Federal Communications during WWII. A graduate of Salem State Teachers College, she was a teacher in the Saugus school system for 25 years. She enjoyed painting, travelling, cooking and gardening. Your Hometown News Delivered! Norma R. (Barile) Mastandrea O f Saugus.Formerly of Medford and the North End, died on Sunday, November 20th at the age of 87. She was the wife of the late Benito Mastandrea. Born and raised in the North End of Boston, Mrs. Mastandrea was the daughter of the late Felice and Giuseppina (Luongo) Barile.
