Donald Wong refused invitation to debate him To the Editor: Voters in Saugus, Lynn, and Wakefield deserve to see their candidates answer hard questions in public. When I personally asked Representative Donald Wong to a debate, he said no. Refusing to debate isn’t just turning down an invitation. It’s dodging accountability to the people who elect you. If Representative Wong is confident in his record, he should be willing to defend it on stage. His refusal highlights a pattern I hear about constantly across the district: Representative Wong is out of reach. Two years ago, as a city councilor, I repeatedly reached out to him to resolve a local highway repaving issue and never received a response. If a sitting councilor can’t get a callback, how can everyday residents expect to be heard? Our district needs a representative who is accessible, responsive, and willing to do the work. After earning the Democratic nomination with 70 percent of the vote, I’ve seen firsthand that voters are ready for new, accountable leadership. I am ready to debate Representative Wong anytime, anywhere in the district, before a A Heartfelt Thank You for Golden Hills Park Dear Editor: I am writing to express my sincere appreciation for the wonderful work that was done at Golden Hills Park. As a resident of Golden Hills for 69 years, this park has always held a very special place in my heart. I spent many years there as a child, then watched my own children grow up enjoying the park, and now I am blessed to be able to bring my grandchildren there. Seeing this beautiful park renewed and brought back to life is truly a blessing for our neighborhood. The new park is absolutely beautiful and is a perfect addition to our community. It is wonderful to see so many children enjoying it, and it is refreshing to see their smiling faces outside, playing and LETTERS | SEE PAGE 6 fair moderator.
