But the town’s most popular community event returned to Saugus Center last Saturday (Sept. 11). It was scaled back, but beautiful weather drew hundreds of town residents, former residents and visitors of all ages. (Saugus Advocate photos by Mark E. Rayaan volunteered to sit in the chair for an hour to raise money for the Saugus High Class of 2020. He bought a pizza for two firefighters manning the Fire Department’s Founders Day truck exhibit.
