Age 95, died peacefully on Tuesday, June 16, at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers, in the comfort of his loving family. He was the devoted husband of the late Mary E. (Sheehan) Gaudet, to whom he was married for seventy-two years. Born in St. Johnsbury, Vt, and raised in Malden, Mr. Gaudet was the son FURNISHED ROOM FOR RENT EVERETT of the late Edward J. and Eva (Garneau) Gaudet. A resident of Saugus since 1960, Daniel was a member of Iron Workers Local #7 and, as foreman, was part of many building projects in Boston, including the Tobin Bridge and the Prudential Center. Daniel was a Korean War veteran who served as a radio operator in the Navy aboard the destroyer USS Beatty from 1947 to 1951. He was the recipient of the Navy Occupation Service Medal. He loved to build and constructed four homes—three in Saugus and one in Freedom, NH. Daniel was a fitness enthusiast who enjoyed weight training, biking, and swimming. He loved the ocean and was an avid sailor. He also enjoyed music and cooking; and pursued lifelong learning through continuing education classes as an adult. Most of all, he was passionate about his family. Mr. Gaudet is survived by 1 bedroom, 1 bath furnished room for rent. $275. per week rent. Two week deposit plus 1 week rent required. A resident of Saugus for 35 years, she worked at Prince Pizza for 30 years, making many friends who became family. Debra enjoyed her beautiful garden full of perennials, decorating for holidays, crafting, hiking in the White Mountains, her cats and loved spending time with her grandchildren. In addition to her husband, Debra is survived by her four children, Bobby Doyle of Tewksbury and his partner Tiffanie Marsh, Kristina Shikoluk of N. Reading and her husband Mike Shikoluk, Michael Doyle of Peabody and his wife Kelsey Doyle, and Holly Capasso of Wakefield and her husband Alex Capasso; eight grandchildren, Brady, Aidan, Lily, Madison, Audrina, Jackie, Lylah and Diana; one brother, Frank Arsenault of Chelsea; and one sister, Lisa Pedi of Chelsea.
