Page 22 OBITUARIES Joseph A. Scavo O f Saugus . Died on Monday, June 23rd at the age of 100. He was the husband of the late Josephine M. (Vega) Scavo. Born and raised in East Boston, Mr. Scavo was the son of the late Antonio and Josephine (Perdicaro) Scavo. A resident of Saugus for the past 40 years, Joseph was a retired mail handler for the United States Postal Service where he worked for 35 years and was a WWII U.S. Army Veteran and Purple Heart recipient. His family meant everything to him.
