THE SAUGUS ADVOCATE – FRIDAY, MAY 21, 2021 Page 11 Dozens donate blood at Masonic Lodge’s American Red Cross drive at the YMCA By Tara Vocino M ore than 40 volunteers donated blood during Sunday’s American Red Cross blood drive at the Saugus YMCA co-sponsored by the William Sutton Masonic Lodge and Saugus YMCA. “ The need has always been great, pre- and-postCOVID-19,” Saugus Masonic Worshipful Master Todd Galarneau said. “It takes less than an hour of your day.” He’s referring to a donated pint of blood, which can save up to three lives, according to American Red Cross Phlebotomist Jeanna Ciampa draws blood from Saugus resident Kate Donovan.
