He’s not just wearing them – like most people who want to protect themselves from COVID-19. Wong, R-Saugus, has been working aggressively as a state legislator individually and in collaboration with others to make sure every fi rst responder in his district as well as across the state receives as many medical masks as they need. “I’m no Bob Kraft, but I’m doing what I can with the connections I have to help our fi rst responders,” Wong quipped in a recent text that thanked the Asian American PAC for donating 1,000 masks for police and fire/paramedic personnel. Wong was referring to New England Patriots Owner Robert Kraft, who made national headlines last month for sending a plane to China to transport more than a million medical masks to help healthcare professionals in Massachusetts and New York.
