Page 10 THE REVERE ADVOCATE – FRIDAY, DECEMBER 8, 2023 City, Mayor-Elect Keefe welcome Santa and Mrs. Claus at annual City Hall Tree Lighting L ast Saturday evening was a perfect night for the arrival of Santa, and the lighting of the Christmas tree at City Hall Plaza. One of the biggest crowds in many years turned out to enjoy the warm, dry weather while getting into the holiday spirit. Christmas Carolers, the singing seniors of the Rosetti-Cowan Center and the Harmony Jewels set the musical tone for the evening. Santa and Mrs. Claus arriving in style with Mayor-Elect Patrick Keefe, Jr., and a host of children added to the parade’s festivities. Upon his arrival, Santa headed to the City Hall stairway with Mayor Keefe, who held the switch as Santa counted down, and the holiday lights illuminated City Hall Plaza. Following the lighting, Santa retired to the City Council Chambers for photos with all the children. Refreshments were also provided to all, as well as festive activities, making the event a huge success for all. The Ever After Storybook Entertainers had a great time at the Revere Tree Lighting.
