Several banks and community-based nonprofits have confirmed that they will be in attendance at the event, giving residents and prospective buyers an opportunity to meet with experts to learn more about mortgage programs, downpayment assistance programs, and other tools to help them secure their fi rst home in Revere. The City will also be discussing its new program, launching Wednesday, November 4, the Revere Aff ordable Homeownership Buydown Program. This program will offer a limited number of up to $75,000-$200,000 in assistance grants to first-time homebuyers whose income is below 120% AMI ($205,680 for a family of 4). Eligible households include those who currently reside in Revere; and/ or have children in the Revere Public Schools; and/or work for an employer physically based in the City of Revere. The City will also discuss other ongoing programs including the $10,000 downpayment assistance program for fi rst-time homebuyers.
