SPORTS | FROM Page 9 Revere’s off ensive line also responded after Cicatelli stressed its importance entering the opener. Bryan Maia, Yahir Chocoj, Mikhai Pyram, Silvio Neto and Cesar Herrara helped create running lanes for Atoui and Pelatere. Peguero, still dealing with his preseason wrist injury, was able to manage the off ense despite being limited as a passer. Joey Angiulo also contributed at quarterback and as a runner. The win was Revere’s fi rst in a season opener since the spring of 2021 (COVID spring season) and came one year after Quincy defeated the Patriots, 41-0. Revere started 1-5 last season, 0-4 in 2024, 0-5 in 2023 and 0-2 in 2022. Cicatelli is well aware of the slow starts this decade and is over the moon about the season-opening win. “It’s nice to be 1-0,” Cicatelli said. “We’re undefeated, so it feels good.” Revere travels to Beverly Saturday, Sept. 19, at 11 a.m. The Panthers lost their opener at Haverhill, 36-14. Boys soccer: THE REVERE ADVOCATE – FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 18, 2026 Revere visits Haverhill FriThree straight wins put Patriots at 3-1 Revere boys soccer has won three straight to improve to 3-1 after victories over Bishop Fenwick and Lynn English. The Patriots outlasted Fenwick, 6-3, after the teams were tied 1-1 at halftime and later 3-3. Coach Gerardo Rodriguez said Revere’s conditioning took over during the fi nal 20 minutes. Lukas Guerra and Sami Dzemailovic scored twice each, with Jeronimo Agudelo Alvarez and Francisco Navarette adding goals. The Patriots followed with a 3-1 home win over Lynn English. Rodriguez expected Revere to play some high-scoring games because of its strength in midfield and at forward while a young and inexperienced defensive group develops. “We have a lot of quality in midfi eld and the forwards, but the defense line takes time to gel,” Rodriguez said. - LEGAL NOTICE - To all persons interested in the above captioned estate, by Petition of Petitioner of a will has been admitted to informal probate. of has been informally appointed as the Personal Representative of the estate to serve on the bond. day, Sept. 18, at 6:30 p.m. and hosts Everett Tuesday, Sept. 22, at 4:15 p.m. Girls soccer: Torres scores four in shutout Revere girls soccer followed a 2-2 tie against Chelsea with a 7-0 victory over Lynn English. Jaelyn Torres placed 11th in 33:36, followed by Rania Abboud in 12th at 35:40, Kayla Men in 13th at 35:53 and Afomiya Wondemagegnhu in 14th at 36:36.
