THE REVERE ADVOCATE – FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 11, 2026 Page 11 Revere Cultural Council hosts first-ever Grant Recipient Reception Special to Th e Advocate O n August 25, 2026, the Revere Cultural Council (RCC) held its inaugural Grant Recipient Reception at Chocolaffee, bringing together local leaders, grant recipients, educators, artists and community partners to celebrate the impact of cultural programming throughout the city. The event featured remarks and participation from Mayor Patrick Keefe, Director of Engagement, Inclusion & Culture Steve Morabito and RCC members Rocky Graziano (Chair), Jaime Jimenez (CoChair), Debbie West (Secretary) and Joe Heafi tz. The reception honored nine of the RCC’s 24 grant recipients. Each recipient was given the opportunity to share how RCC funding supported their work and benefi ted the community. The event also provided an opportunity for recipients to connect directly with city offi cials and fellow community organizations. “The reception was a wonderful opportunity to recognize the creativity, dedication, and hard work of the individuals and organizations that make these programs possible,” said RCC Chair Rocky Graziano. “These projects enrich our community and help ensure that arts, culture, humanities, and educational opportunities remain accessible to Revere residents of all ages.” Projects represented at the reception included the following: A.C. Rodriguez has shifted the Patriots into a 4-3-3 formation after using a diff erent shape in recent seasons. The roster is also young. Rodriguez has 10 sophomores and six juniors along with eight seniors, meaning the Patriots are balancing talent with inexperience. Young Singers, North Shore Philharmonic Orchestra, Revere Beach Moves & Grooves, Revere Beach Pride, SBA Drama Club Experiential Learning, and Young Author’s Day. The Revere Cultural Council extends its gratitude to the teachers, artists, school administrators and community leaders whose eff orts bring these projects to life. Special thanks were also off ered to Mass Cultural Council Program Officer Greg Torrales for his ongoing guidance and support, as “We’re more skilled this year than we’ve been last season for sure,” Rodriguez said. “We’re just young.” One of those young players already making an impression is sophomore Guerra, who scored against Chelsea. Rodriguez said Guerra is gaining the trust of both the coaching staff and Revere’s veteran players.
