He is survived by his devoted wife, Gloria (Tecci) Trentini, his sister Deanna Comeau, and a host of loving nieces and nephews. Bob was a proud Everett native who called Revere, his home for many years. Known for his strong work n the early hours of August 9, Robert Trentini, a man of honor, resilience, and warmth, passed away. Born on July 25, 1944, in Everett, Robert, aff ectionately known as Bob, lived a fulfi lling and impactful life, leaving an indelible mark on all those who had the pleasure of knowing him. He was preceded in death by his parents, Domenic and Concetta (Galante) I ethic, Robert served as a Surety Bond insurance underwriter from 1977 to 2010. He was a decorated Vietnam veteran, having served in the United States Army from 1970 to 1975, a period of his life he was incredibly proud of. Robert was a passionate fan of the Red Sox and the Patriots, and he also enjoyed boxing and computers. His love for cooking was infectious, fi lling his home with the delicious aroma of his culinary creations, usually at 3:00am! Robert’s love for his family was incomparable. Married to his best friend and love of his life, Gloria, for 49 wonderful years, they built a life fi lled with joy and mutual respect. Even though they didn’t have children of their own, Uncle Bob was a father fi gure to his many nieces and nephews whom he adored and cherished. His legacy will be remembered through his loving nature, and his commitment to his family and country. A funeral service for Robert will be held Friday, August 14, from 10:00-11:00AM at Saint Mary’s Parish 670 Washington Street, Revere, A funeral mass will follow. Born in Revere, John’s vibrant life journey brought him to Chelsea, where he resided at the time of his passing. A retired carpenter, John was not just a craftsman with R evereTV was at National Night Out last week! RTV youth correspondent and volunteer Manique Khessouane took the mic once again to show you what this year’s event was all about. National Night Out is an annual community-building event that brings neighbors together with law enforcement to promote crime prevention and build a safer, more connected city. There was food, activities for all ages, police and emergency vehicles to tour, community organizations, opportunities to meet Revere Police Offi cers and demonstrations by the Revere Police Department’s K-9 and Drone Units. Row Row Row in Revere was this past Saturday in the Point of Pines neighborhood. The event is an annual threemile canoe race beginning at Point of Pines Yacht Club, followed by a waterfront celebration at The Marina Restaurant. John was a man of many talents and interests. His passion for martial arts led him to become a karate instructor and also has a love for a game of horseshoes and bocce. He was a jokester, always ready with a joke or story to lighten the mood and bring joy to those around him. His kindest trait, however, was his selfl ess spirit, as he never said no to anyone in need. But what mattered most to John was his role as a doting grandfather to Sophia and Ella DiCalogero, and Emma Florentino. His love for them was boundless, their happiness his greatest reward. John is survived by his children, John DiCalogero III and his wife Christina, and Jill Florentino. His siblings, Anthony DiCalogero and his wife Cindy, Jean Farrell and her husband Robert, Lucille O’Connell, and Elaine Ross and her husband Lada, Edward DiCalogero and wife Tina, and his Cousin and best friend Anthony DiCalogero will also remember him fondly. He was preceded in death by his wife, Janet (Tirino) DiCalogero, his brother Vincent DiCalogero, and his parents, John Sr. and Evelyn DiCalogero. A Memorial Service will be held for John on Saturday, August 29, 2026 from 11:002:00PM with a prayer service at 2:00PM at Paul Buonfi glio and Sons funeral home 128 Revere Street, Revere, MA 02151. The Wyner Family Jewish Heritage Center held an event in Revere in July that included stories, conversations and the history of the Jewish summer community at Revere Beach. RevereTV recorded the discussion about the popularity of Revere Beach as a summer destination for the Greater Boston Jewish community in the mid-20th century. Attendees also shared memories and enjoyed a kosher ice cream social. Watch it now on the Community Channel through the month of August. On August 4, Revere City Hall proudly hosted an Ellie Fund event dedicated to raising awareness and supporting individuals and families impacted by breast cancer. Ellie Fund representatives, along with community leaders, shared powerful remarks and personal experiences highlighting the importance of support, early detection and access to resources.
