With a gamechanging $15 billion investment in special education secured through this year’s federal budget, we are moving closer to making that goal a reality.” Candidate for Office list of certified nomination papers W ith election season heating up and the list of candidates continuing to grow, tracking candidates and campaigns can be confusing. Dozens of people have pulled papers with the intention of running for office. But it’s not official until candidates are certifi ed which means nomination papers are returned with 50 signatures validated by the elections department. Candidates have until August 1 to return completed papers.
