Page 6 THE REVERE ADVOCATE – FRIDAY, JULY 10, 2026 FUN-damental Basketball Camp Open to Boys and Girls in Local Area T he FUN-damental Basketball camp, open to boys and girls in local area cities and towns, will be held July 20-24, 2026, at the Immaculate Conception Parish Center, located at 51 Summer Street in Everett. The camp will take place between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. for boys and girls entering grades 3 through 8 as of September 2026. The cost of the camp is $125.00. Tony Ferullo, boys’ varsity basketball coach at Mystic Valley Reginal Charter Schol in Malden, will be the Camp Director. The purpose of the camp is to: provide all campers with the fundamental tools to help them become better basketball players; create a positive atmosphere where the camper will learn and have fun at the same time; instill the spirit of the game into all campers; and inspire them to continue playing the game either competitively or just for fun. Subscribe RevereTV Spotlight N ext week, specifi cally Friday, July 17, through Sunday, July 19, is the International Sand Sculpting Festival at Revere Beach. RevereTV has been spotlighting the sand sculptors competing this year with informational videos on Instagram. Follow @RevereTV there to get all of the exclusive updates of the competition and festival once it begins. Beach and sand preparations will start at the beginning of next week, which will all be covered by RevereTV. To celebrate before the big weekend, watch RTV coverage of past festivals scheduled to the Community Channel all week. This channel is 8 and 1072 on Comcast, and 3 and 614 on RCN. The 2nd Annual Haas Summer Bash was held outside of Dryft on Revere Beach on June 7, 2026. There were three hours of classes as well as local vendors selling food, drinks, jewelry and clothing. RevereTV produced two videos from this event that are now streaming on the Community Channel and posted to YouTube. One video is a fulllength recording that includes all the workout classes off ered so you can watch that and follow along yourself. The other video is a shorter highlight reel of the event that includes interviews with some city offi - cials and participants. Revere held the Annual Resource Day at the American Legion at 249 Broadway on June 26. The event was full of informational booths for city departments, nonprofi ts and local businesses off ering information about their services to the people of Revere. The city was also hosting the fi rst Community Baby Shower, which RevereTV hopped over to visit. Coverage of both events in a short video is now posted to YouTube and the Community Channel. The city celebrated its 5th Annual Pride Event at Revere Beach at the outdoor space next to Dryft and Fine Line. The celebration was open and free for everyone and included live performances, music and vendors. RevereTV’s coverage was hosted by Erica Porzio, who interviewed Department of Engagement, Inclusion, and Culture Director Steve Morabito, Mayor Patrick Keefe and Jenn Keefe, a Revere Chamber of Commerce representative and more. Watch this video coverage to get a glimpse of this year’s Pride party and hear from some local community members who were out to celebrate. This week on “In the Loop,” learn about getting your property prepared against summer’s biggest pests. Revere residents can take advantage of free mosquito spraying services off ered through Northeast Massachusetts Mosquito Control through September 16. Residents who would like to request free spraying services can call the phone number listed on the fl yer in these “In the Loop” videos, which are posted to all RevereTV outlets. Information about this program is also listed in the city’s website. RTV GOV is scheduled with the fi rst few replays of government meetings from July. As the month continues, live coverage will break in on the channel and YouTube. All meetings replay in rotation in the weeks following the initial air date.
