Eid al-Adha is a historical memory of prophet Abraham being asked to give a huge sacrifi ce and he did it, according to the Quran. Today, Muslims slaughter an animal in remembrance and give its meat to the poor. It’s also a time when Muslims make a pilgrimage to Mecca in Saudi Arabia.
