But with site work underway, and work on the first buildings in the fi rst phase in Revere – the one-million-square-foot Beachmont Plaza – to begin this year, big things are happening at the storied former racetrack. HYM Founding Partner/Managing Director Thomas O’Brien updated the City Council last Monday night. The biggest revelation of the night was the plan to build a fi ve-story, $500 million life sciences building on the lots marked R10 and R11 on the plans for the site. Originally, those two sites were slated as residential developments.
