According to volunteer Maria I n “grab-and-go” style, the city distributed 1,500 COVID-19 masks last Thursday, averaging 250 cars per day, in the Rumney Triolo, 300 boxes, containing 50 masks per box, were given out. Parks and Recreation Director Michael Hinojosa said the Moroccan American Cultural Connection in Revere donated the first thousand, while the city bought 3,500 masks in its fi rst week of inception. As part of Mask Up May, Governor Charlie Baker requires residents to wear a face covering in public. A limited supply of masks is available from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday to Friday, at RMA.
