According to Revere Police, the driver of the Accord was travelling south in the northbound lane of American Legion Highway. The driver, an unidentifi ed female, was also allegedly travelling without her headlights on. Firefighters were ultimately able to free her using the Jaws of Life. The driver was then taken to Massachusetts General Hospital after being trapped inside the vehicle for an extended period of time. The driver of the Mercedes was not reported to be injured. No additional information was available as the investigation remains ongoing. The Mercedes GLS ended up sideways on American Legion Highway.
