Mayor Gary Christenson recently stopped by the home that he shares with his lovely wife of 50 years, Karen, and presented him with a citation in recognition of his milestone birthday. Spignese is proud of his four children and absolutely loves being a “Pampa” to his four grandchildren. A military veteran, Spignese has gotten much satisfaction from volunteering for Disabled Veterans and many other organizations. When Christenson asked Spignese his secret for such a long and healthy life, he said that “at least 25 pushups a day” is what keeps him young.
