During the 2020 pandemic, founders John and Isaiah rebuilt their love for physical gaming by playing Magic: the Gathering, board games and many other tabletop card games, as they had much more time due to the lockdown. They started creating their own games, published their first game in 2021 and developed multiple other games (nearly ready for publishing). They also built a social media site, Tabletop Social, to connect gamers digitally. Lastly, they built a Whatnot live stream, Prima Collectibles, focused on selling sports cards, which has been gaining fast momentum in 2026. By March 2026, they had fully exited their previous digital agency business and felt it was time to bring digital excellence and eCommerce to the Tabletop industry. By May they signed a lease to bring everything together under one roof in Malden, the gaming district, offering all the major hobby products in one store. They believe that play is fundamental. Whether it’s gathering around a table for a deeply strategic board game, hunting for the perfect card to complete a collection or connecting with a community that shares your passion — TCG is dedicated to elevating the tabletop and sports gaming experience.
