The Godfather, Casino, let alone the Soprano’s. Many ‘pool room’ scenes remind me of the Pool Room in Edgeworth (on Pearl). The dialog and dialect used are very familiar. I hardly travel anymore Peter or Saint Rocco’s would be a real treat for me! As you may know I did not make it up to Johnny (Kerrigan’s) funeral, I was going to attempt it, but my sister (John’s mom) insisted that I didn’t try. It would have been great to meet you in person though. Who knows, maybe someday! I look forward to your ‘Musings.’ Don’t mind mine Peter, it gives me an outlet early in the morning while waiting for my other half to wake up for breakfast and I use the time to fiddle with this computer. Hope I don’t miss any of yours however... All the best!” As Peter Falk’s iconic TV character Columbo would say, “Just one more thing, sir” — speaking of San Rock...This year Malden celebrates 96 years of that communal summer feeling of love and friendship, spread out over three glorious days — simply called... “The Feast.” This year we dedicate the weekend to beloved Edgeworth icons, Billy Settemio and Dom Fermano. Keeping this tradition alive hasn’t been easy. Without those two, it will be even harder. Many of the same families from the original Saint Rocco Society in 1929 continue their involvement in this time-honored tradition ensuring the Feast not only survives but thrives. The Saint Rocco Committee 2026 felt we should once again celebrate in a big way. Just as we did for the 75th when legendary crooner/actor Al Martino brought 25,000 of his nearest and dearest paisans and fans to the congested streets of Edgeworth. And in 2019 when the Midtown Men kicked our collective derrieres. We’re gonna gobsmack you yet again this year on August 7 & 8 with Wildfire then go for the knockout blow on Sunday night, August 9, with Back to the 80’s! That’s entertainment (stolen from the Jam!).
