Although there will be fewer concert events than in the past due to budget considerations, the City of Malden is committed to celebrating the season with some talented fan favorites! Concerts will take place on the following Tuesdays from 6-8 p.m. on City Hall Plaza: • July 28: Rico Barr Band. • August 11: Brothers Walk Band. • August 25: The Reminisants. In the event of inclement weather, concerts will be postponed and subject to the band’s availability for a future date. She is predeceased by her husband, Branislav Sokolovic, who she married on 8/16/70. Together they relocated their family to the United States in 1988, first settling in Jacksonville, FL before finally moving to Malden in 1997. Before fully retiring, she found a new love of working in the customer service industry as a server at her local Dunkin Donuts; a job she loved immensely for its ability to introduce her to new people she could converse with daily. She is survived by her son Jovan and his wife Danijela Sokolovic of Malden, her daughter Melissa and her husband Bryan Lawless of Bedford,NH and her four grandsons, Nicholas, Alexander, Noah and Luke, all of whom she adored more than anything else in the world. She will be remembered for her probing but caring questions, her curiosity about her loved ones’ well-being, and the pure joy she felt being at home surrounded by her family. A private grave side service will be held at Forestdale cemetery in Malden.
