Team converge on Warren Street home on July 3 The following was prepared through information from police reports and a Malden Police social media post. n investigation of a suspect believed to be illegally in possession of firearms led to the arrest of an 18-year-old Malden resident at a Warren Street address early Friday morning. Heavy police activity on Warren Street, which is located off of Holyoke Street in the city’s Ferryway neighborhood, on Friday morning included Malden Police officers and detectives, assistance by Mass. State Police, Melrose Police and Lynn Police as well as members of the Northeast Metro S.W.A.T. Team. Northeast Metro S.W.A.T. Team also provided the services of weapons-trained K9 Giselle and her handler. According to police, following an intensive investigation initiated by Officer Blake Ferry, Malden SPORTS | FROM PAGE 9 As fate would have it, Coach Thomas that day ended up getting McGlinchy’s contact info and passed it on to a former Hurricane lefty who happened to be the pitching coach for the College of Central Florida Patriots. The CCF Patriots ended up recruiting and signing McGlinchy for the next school year after the Malden star declined to sign with the Atlanta Braves six weeks later. Three GBL players selected in the 1995 draft In the draft on June 1, a lot of A Police developed information that an individual was in possession of a firearm and, based on his age and licensing status, was prohibited from legally possessing a firearm in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. As a result of the raid and the confiscation of a handgun and suspected clips of ammunition, Tristan White-Stewart, 18, of Malden, was arrested and charged with firearm-related offenses. According to reports, White-Stewart was arraigned in Malden District Court on Monday and held by authorities pending a dangerousness hearing later this month. Early Friday morning, as the investigation progressed, a search warrant was obtained and executed at a residence on Warlocal dreams came true as Revere’s Mike Spinelli was drafted by the Boston Red Sox in the fourth round — the 102nd player selected — and ended up signing for $325,000. In the next round, two more GBL players were selected, the most in any MLB draft ever, three total, when Peabody High catcher Steve Lomasney was picked in the fifth round at number 130 overall by the Boston Red Sox. Then Malden history was made when Kevin McGlinchy was selected by the Atlanta Braves with the 141st pick in the fifth round. Lomasney signed with the Sox and began his professional caren Avenue by the Malden Police Special Operations Unit, augmented by the North Metro S.W.A.T. Team. Due to the ongoing investigation and out of consideration for nearby residents, the exact location of the search warrant will not be disclosed. Malden Police will continue to maintain an increased presence in the area and monitor for any additional public safety concerns.
