Malden Councillor-at-Large and Finance Committee Chair Carey McDonald told his colleagues that while the budget gap between revenue and city expenses was fi lled this year, it will take a lot of work and attention to do it again next fi scal year. Councillor McDonald’s assessment came just before the City Council voted unanimously, 10-0, to approve a $224 million municipal budget appropriation for Fiscal Year 2025 at Tuesday night’s regular meeting.
