As the seasons conclude this week, both Alayans are leading their respective teams in scoring, with nearly identical points per game averages, Ali with an 8.7 average and Yasmine at 8.1 points per game. Both players are allowed to watch the other play in the newly configured boys’ and girls’ varsity teams playing back-to-back this winter. “Yasmine has had a steady season, despite the different schedule and some new faces this year,” Coach Marino said. “We have a very young team and Ali has provided a lot of leadership and has been a good role model,” Coach Nally said of his senior captain.
