This year’s event brought a mystery to the library; the Book Bandit ran amok, leaving behind clues for attendees to uncover and a case to solve! Young detectives joined Nancy Drew for a spooky story time adventure. Teens and adults enjoyed festivities upstairs and searched for clues throughout the library maze. Guests also got into the Halloween spirit with face painting and tarot readings. The evening concluded with costume parades for all ages, where grand prize and runner-up winners of the costume contest received gift certificates generously donated by local business Il Pastificio, Inc. “This is the second year that Il Pastificio has generously sponsored our event, and we are so grateful!” said Everett Public Libraries Head of Circulation Victoria Iannuzzi. “The staff at the library love coming together to host this kind of community event each year, and it is made all the better by having community organizations partner with us.” The Everett Public Libraries extend their thanks to everyone who attended and helped make this year’s Literary Masquerade a success. A special thank you goes to Il Pastificio, Inc. for its continued support of this annual community celebration. The libraries look forward to welcoming everyone back for another night of mystery and Halloween fun next year!
