After tragically losing many residents during the COVID-19 pandemic, the new building represents a $482 million investment in veterans care infrastructure in Massachusetts. “I was thrilled to attend today and see in person the incredible work that has been done here to care for our heroes,” said McGonagle. “As Chairman of the Veteran’s Committee, I know how important it is to invest in facilities like these for our veterans. We witnessed terrible tragedy when so many were lost during the COVID-19 pandemic and while we cannot bring them back, we can honor their memory by taking care of their An event guest with State Representatives John Barrett and Joe McGonagle, a local veteran, Veterans Home at Chelsea Board of Trustees Chairman Tom Lyons, State Representative Carlos Gonzalez and EOVS Ombudsperson Marc Silvestri. I’d also like to thank my colleagues in the Legislature who helped support this important endeavor and the Massachusetts federal delegation who secured necessary funding.” While the facility is not slated to be fully completed until 2028, residents will soon be moving in. Additionally, the grounds will feature a memorial garden to those residents who passed during the COVID-19 pandemic. Gerry D’Ambrosio Attorney-at-Law Is Your Estate in Order?
