Anyone willing to run for office or serve their community deserves respect. While service is honorable, politics doesn’t always reflect that ideal. Throughout my time as Mayor, I’ve worked to lead with a positive vision. I’ve chosen to run my campaigns by focusing on what we can accomplish together—not by tearing others down. Unfortunately, that’s become increasingly rare in today’s political climate. Politics in Everett has become toxic. Fearbased campaigns and personal attacks have replaced real conversations about progress. I reject that approach. It’s a disservice to the offices we seek and to the voters we serve. My opponent has embraced these tactics. His campaign has focused more on smearing my reputation than offering solutions. But winning at any cost damages the public trust—and keeps us from moving forward. While political games dominate the headlines, important issues go unaddressed. The City Council spends more time chasing conspiracy than collaborating on urgent challenges like renovating Everett Square or relieving classroom overcrowding. We owe the people of Everett better. This election should not be about who can shout the loudest. It should be about vision, leadership, and results. On November 4th, I ask every voter to look past the noise. Judge the candidates based on their record, their values, and their plans for Everett’s future. Let’s reject the politics of division and choose a path that brings us together. You deserve better. Let’s demand it—together.
