He met with the school’s CEO, Barish Icin, and other faculty and staff to learn about the school’s mission, academic program and accomplishments. He then met with Alyssa Figuerido’s third grade classroom to talk about government and read a story. “I look at these students and I see the future of Everett,” said McGonagle. “It is important for me to know that our kids are receiving the best education possible and I truly felt that visiting the Pioneer School. I also think it’s important for our students to know that they matter and they can make a difference in this world. I hope my visit inspired them to dream big.”
