MVAS developed Resiliency in Motion to strengthen both physical health and emotional well-being. The six weekly sessions will be led by a fi tness professional alongside dementia-trained support staff from MVAS. Resiliency in Motion is off ered Thursdays, November 5 through December 17, at noon, at the Malden Senior Center (7 Washington St.). There is no cost to attend and participants do not need to live in Malden. To register, contact Paula Buccilli at pbuccilli@mves.org or 781-388-2319. Each session will begin with separate warm-up activities for caregivers and participants before coming together for a joint class designed to build balance, strength, mobility and confi dence. This approach provides caregivers with peer support while creating opportunities for shared connection. MVAS will partner with Coach Julio Salado of Fitness Foundry for Resiliency in Motion. He is a certifi ed trainer with extensive experience in fitness coaching for older adults. Resiliency in Motion combines evidence-based activity with person-centered dementia support, promoting healthy aging and social engagement for people living with dementia and those who care for them.
