Page 12 THE EVERETT ADVOCATE – FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 17, 2021 City to take part in National CleanUp Day M ayor Carlo DeMaria recently announced that the City of Everett will be participating in National CleanUp Day on Saturday, September 18 by picking up overflow trash throughout the city at no extra cost. “The city of Everett has always been a clean and well-maintained community,” said DeMaria. “After hearing positive feedback from residents regarding the overflow trash program in June, I wanted to participate in the National CleanUp Day and allow residents to clean out their properties again. I hope that this day will help residents remove any excess clutter they may have in their homes.” Overflow trash consists of anything except for the following items: • Yard waste • Hazardous waste • Demolition materials • White goods Residents are asked to place their overflow trash on the sidewalk in front of their homes on Friday, September 17. Please put all small items in a bag and neatly place the bag in a blue bin alongside any large items on the sidewalk. Foxwoods trip planned for Oct. 7 A fter a long respite, Mayor Carlo DeMaria and the Council on Aging recently announced the return of the Bingo Bus to Foxwoods Resort Casino. Join us on Thursday, October 7 at 7:30 a.m. at the parking lot of Everett Veterans Memorial Stadium as your Silver Fox Luxury Coach Bus will be waiting to whisk you away to the fabulous Foxwoods Resort Casino. Super Bingo at Foxwoods will start at 10 a.m. After a wonderful day at Foxwoods, we will leave for home at 4 p.m. WynnBET Sports Bar now open at Encore W Per Fox Tours, proof of vaccination and a mask are required for travel.
