Page 16 THE EVERETT ADVOCATE–Friday, August 30, 2019 Tufts Health Plan, Eliot team up to provide new backpacks Tufts Health Plan and Eliot Community Human Services collaborated with the Family Resource Center in Everett (operated by Eliot) to offer 500 students free backpacks and school supplies. Students lined the halls of the old Everett High School to fill their new bags with crayons, pencils, rulers, scissors and more. Irene and Paul Cardillo offered residents refreshments as they lined up to pick up their backpacks. Families gathered at the former Everett High School to fill their new backpacks with school supplies for the upcoming academic year. Wendy Ng and Liliana Patino offered pizza to visitors at the Family Resource Center as they filled their backpacks. Joanne Agnes introduced Henry the Hand, who encourages keeping clean hands, to Preeti Katkar, Sara Navgere and Ria Navgere. Eleanor Gayhart offered a helping hand distributing school supplies at the Family Resource Center of Everett. Janice, Jane and Julin Chen enjoyed filling their new backpacks at the Family Resource Center. William Donahue of the Everett School Department volunteered to hand out backpacks. Michelle Zeng and Ming Chu looked over their new backpacks that they received at the Family Resource Center. Five hundred students lined up for new backpacks and school supplies at the Family Resource Center. Ann Fitzgerald handed out backpacks at the Family Resource Center. Families gathered at the Family Resource Center to collect new backpacks. Lauren Patalak and Kate Grieves distributed new rulers to students at the Family Resource Center. Mariana Patino offered new school supplies to Cassie Gaznick at the Family Resource Center. Jessica Langdale and Fallon McDavitt offered new erasers to students.
