The Sept. 24 workshop will be held in person from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Connolly Center (90 Chelsea St.). New England Revolution representatives will participate in the workshop to present design concepts, answer questions and obtain feedback. The upcoming workshop builds on the first community meetings held July 23 at Everett City Hall and virtually on August 13, where residents spoke directly with New England Revolution representatives and shared their ideas for the park. Community members will now have an opportunity to see how that feedback is helping shape potential design elements, amenities and programming for the waterfront space planned as part of the proposed New England Revolution stadium project. “It is important to me that our residents have a say in the design of this incredible waterfront park right along the Mystic River,” said Mayor Robert J. Van Campen. “This park has the potential to become a gathering place for our entire community, and I want to make sure the people who will use it have a voice in shaping what it becomes.” “We are very excited to continue our ongoing conversations with the residents of Everett. Our stadium project presents an incredible opportunity to open up the Everett waterfront for the first time in generations,” said New England Revolution’s VP of Marketing and Public Relations, Cathal Conlon. “Hearing directly from the local community is essential in helping us design a park that reflects the needs and desires of Everett residents, as we aim to give the city a new go-to destination that will be transformational for the area.” The City of Everett encourages residents to participate in the workshop and continue sharing their ideas as the City and New England Revolution work to develop a waterfront park that reflects the needs and priorities of the Everett community.
