The School Committee voted 5-0 to award the contract to Whitsons during its special meeting on Aug. 1. Prior to the vote, Charles Obremski, assistant superintendent of Business Aff airs, said that in April both Aramark and Whitsons had responded to the district’s Request for Proposal (RFP) as Aramark’s contract was due to expire.
