Last year, during the same time period, Cyrus said, there were 86 overdoses, nine fatalities and 45 instances where Narcan was used. She said the only acceptable number is zero. “If there’s one death it’s too many; this is completely preventable,” she said. Cyrus said fentanyl has completely infiltrated every corner of this illicit drug market. “Fentanyl is so present in all of the drugs,” she said.
