Community feedback will play an important role in shaping the project’s direction and identifying priorities for the space. Residents will have the opportunity to meet the project team, learn about the planning process and timeline and share their ideas, interests and concerns. The City is offering both an in-person and virtual meeting option to encourage broad participation. The project is supported by a $50,000 grant awarded by the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center (MassCEC) through the EmPower Massachusetts program in October 2025. The funding will help ensure future concepts support clean energy goals while addressing the building’s existing conditions. Seniors, veterans and all Everett residents are encouraged to participate. Live interpretation will be available at both meetings. The first meeting will be held in person at the Connolly Center on Tuesday, July 7, at 1 p.m. A virtual meeting will be held on Tuesday, July 14, at 6:30 p.m. via Microsoft Teams.
