Encore Boston Harbor hosts DAV Flag Raising Ceremony In preparation for opening day on Sunday, Encore Boston Harbor added the finishing touches to the resort, including the raising of the American Flag on Tuesday afternoon. Everett’s Commissioner of Veterans Services, Jeanne Cristiano, joined John Tocco of Encore and a number of employees from the resort/casino as the Disabled American Veterans (DAV) of Massachusetts conducted a ceremony. The company takes pride in hiring a large percentage of local veterans. 1. Nelson Serrao of the Disabled American Veterans of Massachusetts took part in the flag-raising ceremony on Tuesday. 3. John Tocco of Encore Boston Harbor thanked the veterans for their service. 4. Commissioner of Veterans Services Jeanne Cristiano thanked the veterans and Encore Boston Harbor. 5. Curtis Borja of Encore 12 9 2 Boston Harbor was one of the key people in arranging the flag raising. 6. Richard Connor of the Disabled American Veterans of Massachusetts saluted the flag. 8. Nelson Serrao marched 3 4 5 before the flagpole at the beginning of the ceremony. 9. The American Flag was raised by Nelson Serrao and Herb Colon. 10. The American Flag was raised as a final touch to Encore Boston Harbor. 11. The Massachusetts 6 8 State Flag was raised alongside the American Flag. 12.
