More than 30 candidates pull papers for upcoming election By Christopher Roberson T his year’s city election has continued to gain momentum, as 35 candidates have taken out nomination papers as of May 29. The councillor-at-large race is currently the most popular contest with 11 candidates. Thus far, councillor-at-large candidate James Lavecchio and Councillor-at-Large Michael Marchese have submitted the 250 signatures required to be on the ballot. Jimmy Tri Le, who is challenging Ward 4 Councillor John McKinnon, has also turned his signatures into City Hall.
