Conjunto Tropical Salvadoreño Musica Canpirana – translated to tropical Salvadorian group – performed folk music during Saturday’s Multicultural Festival at the Lafayette School. Silvia Lainez, Tiffany Henriquez and Jose Pleitez displayed their traditional dress and the El Salvadorian flag. Angel and Henry Marcia were awarded a certificate of appreciation from Immaculate Conception Parish Administrator Rev. Joseph Chacha Marwa during Saturday’s Second Annual Multicultural Festival at Lafayette School. Members of El Grupo Torogoz performed. The torogoz bird is the national bird of El Salvador.
